Why Cold Email Outreach Sequences Cannot be Changed / Force a Three Email Sequence?

Currently, when you are looking to reach out to NEW (aka. cold) contacts (using email as the only communication channel) via the Hypadrive.ai platform, we provide you with a best practice 3 email touchpoints approach that you must follow / cannot change. IMPORTANT NOTE: We appreciate that some of you will find this restrictive and may not understand the logic as to why we would mandate this approach, but please read the below to understand the logic behind this decision and why it is best practice for most of you.

We promote this approach because when using a single outreach channel (in this case, Email) to engage new contacts, 3 touch-points has proven to be the most effective and reasonable approach i.e. this represents best practice. 3 touch-points gives you a fair attempt at engaging the contact you are reaching out to via email. If by your 3rd email touchpoint, they have not engaged with you, then it is best you either try and engage them via a different outreach channel (e.g. give them a phone call or write to them on LinkedIn - which you will currently need to do outside of the Hypadrive.ai platform) or stop your attempts to engage them and focus on other more interested contacts. Continuing to email contacts who have shown no engagement or interest in your message will likely result in irritation and them marking your messages as SPAM/Junk which could cause damage (sometimes irreparable) to your email sending reputation and may consequently affect your ability to reach any new contacts via your domain and IP address; trust us, you want to avoid this outcome.

Hypadrive.ai’s approach is designed to help you achieve your goal safely and with the highest chance of engaging your contacts. Contacts who did not engage with you in your initial outreach attempt will be marked as ‘Retired (No Response Achieved)’. You will be prevented from reaching out to those contacts again on our platform for a minimum amount of time (30 days from when they were ‘Retired’) on the assumption that they do not wish to engage with you.

After the minimum rest period has passed, you will be able to send a re-engagement email outreach series to them e.g. “hey I reached out before, didn’t hear from you then but thought it worth a second shot at connecting…”. Again, we will provide you with a template for doing so which you must adopt. If after your second outreach series attempt the contact still does not engage with you, their failure to engage with you over both attempts likely means that they essentially wish not to hear from you and they will be treated as an ‘Unsubscribed’ person.

Cold outreach via email is a complex science and you want to make sure you are adhering to best practice to protect your reputation online and remain compliant as a sender (which is what our system is designed to help you achieve).
