There are a variety of factors that determine how long/the number of days a program (or campaign, if you will) runs for. For example, the wait/delay time interval between each touchpoint in your outreach sequence. If you have an outreach sequence that utilises 3 touchpoints, and you leave a delay of 5 days between each of your touchpoints, then assuming no one responds to you during the sequence, it will take a minimum of 15 days for your contacts to go from touchpoint 1 in your sequence to being retired after having not responded to your final touchpoint (touchpoint 3 in this example) having received it 5 days prior. Another example is the number of touchpoints in your outreach sequence; the more touchpoints you use, the longer it typically takes to execute those touchpoints, the longer your program will take to compete. Another factor that impacts how long it takes for a program to complete is the type of program you are running (what your use case is) and how much engagement you get from your audience/contacts. Whether or not you are using the Conversation Automation AI Engine to interpret responses you receive and write next step replies on your behalf to progress opportunities also has an impact on extending the duration of your outreach programs. Other factors include things like the start and end dates you select; you can control how far into the future you want your program to run and therefore that will impact the average number of emails sent per day which will affect the number of days your program is live for before reaching its conclusion.
As you can see there are a variety of factors, some mentioned above, that impact the time it takes for your program to naturally conclude and be marked as STATUS: Complete.
The typical time it takes for a program to run from start to finish varies widely however somewhere between 15 and 30 days is fairly typical; again depending on the influencing factors mentioned above. Programs can complete faster and can take longer.
When you launch a program/campaign, our system calculates a range for the estimated days to complete based on a variety of factors managed by our intelligent algorithm. This estimated days to complete is a dynamic number and will reduce as time progresses so at all times you have an indicative range of time remaining before your program will reach its natural conclusion and be considered STATUS: Complete.
